The other key people involved with the Club were Mr C Moore, Gr Gogarty, Mr L F Perrin, Mr D Sullivam, Colonel J K Millner, Mr W Hill Cooper, Mr C C Ellis, Mr J Hamilton, Mr J M Barry, Mr W Despard. The first President of the Club was Lord Ardilaun.

The Club issued the Breed Standard commenced holding Field Trials. Without doubt the Club’s formation was a great boost to the breed and its popularity increased greatly thereafter.
